At SALTS we have co-ed groups with experienced leaders. People bond quickly and we have boundaries for relationships to maintain a safe environment. However when you are in a church, in a 12 week group, coed groups will need to develop their own boundaries. We would suggest that only people who have already gone through the group process in a single gender group be selectively invited to be in a co-ed group. You will need the approval of your ministry leader as protection for the church/organization. We also encourage male/female co-leadership for such a group.
