Open Hearts is on a mission to equip people on their journey to wholeness in Christ through multiplying life-giving communities around the world. Coming to wholeness and maturity is an on-going process that involves the emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical components of our lives. This is a process that cannot happen in isolation, but only in healthy homes and communities.

We're always at work helping people facilitate healthy homes and communities which, as they mature, are able to offer life to others.

Key to realizing our mission are Grace Groups,  small groups that, with the assistance of two trained facilitators and an emotionally safe environment, invite people to examine life experiences that have impacted their emotional and spiritual health. Unexamined life experiences that keep us from living whole and healthy lives are trauma, neglect, betrayal, abandonment, and abuse in all its forms (emotional. physical, sexual, spousal, and spiritual). See types of abuse and definitions here. All of these leave their imprint on our souls. This, in turn, touches our relationships at home, at work, at school, in our social and our spiritual communities. Damage has been done in relationships. Grace Groups invite people to look at the damage again, but this time in a safe, supportive community that encourages healing and promotes life-giving change.

Grace Groups are rooted in Biblical principles that will bring fresh perspective and growth to those who are longing for a deeper connection with God, with others and with their own hearts.

Open Hearts is committed to equipping leaders around the world, as God gives us capacity. So far people from all 50 U.S. states and from 30 countries have attended our training. Our primary training venue is SALTS, a leadership training seminar designed to give people hands on group experience.
