WHAT IS OPEN HEARTS MINISTRY?

There are times in life when you really need a safe place...a place where struggle and pain can be shared; a place where hope can be restored.

Open Hearts Ministry seeks to create such places for resoration by providing biblically based training and curriculum for use in Grace Groups worldwide. Designed to minister to people who've been wounded by abuse and other losses caused by broken trust, poor responses, betrayal and/or abandonment, OHM seeks to fill a need in the body of Christ that few are addressing.

Our vision is to equip men and women from around the world to walk with the wounded: introducing them to the Wounded Healer and providing a safe place for recovery on the journey to a restored relationship with God, self and others.

We have been working at this since 1988, when a small group ministry was launched in a local church to address the requests and needs of women wrestling with their reprecussions of sexual abuse. Since then we have grown in scope (working with men and women on a wide variety of soul wounds) and numbers (47 states and 26 countries).
